Your audience with God (Part 1)
When I worked in the bank I had to visit London often to see my boss. He was very senior & very important. I remember the first time I was going to meet him - I sat nervously outside his office watching people walk past, all the time feeling pretty nervous. When I was ushered in though I quickly realised that I was there because that was my place and that it mattered to him that I was there.
Every minute of each day you have an audience with God - you do not need to wait to be brought in - you have His complete attention. You are not an inconvenience. You can talk and he will hear every word & every concern. His attention is on you now. That is what today’s verse means - “access” means that we are acceptable to him and have assurance that he is favorably disposed toward us. He does not ever leave us “outside” but we can be always sure of his full attention.
Whatever your feelings or others tell you today - you are loved!
