For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God's abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!  Romans 5:17

Having looked this week at living from the unseen,we finish by focusing on reigning in life.  Understanding our citizenship is critical to reigning in life.  We are not citizens of our temporal surroundings, we are citizens of the unseen eternal kingdom of God.

When Adam was created he was placed in Eden, which was heaven on earth, but he lost the life of God when he sinned, resulting in death reigning throughout the human race.  Enter Jesus, the last Adam, He lived without sin but took our sin on the cross to destroy death.

Jesus restored what Adam lost.  Today we can experience heaven on earth.  The unseen realm of heaven is all around us.  Access is via an abundant provision of unmerited favour and the free gift of righteousness.  Nothing of our works but all to do with His work on the cross.

Let’s not live as a response to the natural world that we see through our physical eyes.  Let’s reign in life as citizens of the kingdom of heaven, continually tapping into the limitless resources of God’s unseen provision, so we can make a difference to the world around us.
