So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.2 Corinthians 4:18

The word temporary means 'lasting for only a limited period of time, not permanent'.Isn't it good to know that whatever we are going through today its only temporary and not permanent - particularly if it is an unpleasant experience.

The old King James translation continually uses a phrase that I love: 'and it came to pass'.Whatever you are going through today know that it has 'come to pass' it hasn't 'come to stay'!!

When I look back over my life, I remember (and have forgotten!) many difficult times that caused me much stress, fear and anxiety at the time. They don't cause me stress anymore, and now that I'm at the other side of them I wonder why I worried at all.

Knowing that God is faithful and that His grace (unmerited favour) is all we need to bring us through should give us the confidence to face whatever we are going through today, knowing that it'll be history tomorrow.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing and perspective is key when we face challenging circumstances. We are citizens of an eternal unlimited kingdom not the temporal limited life that surrounds us.
