“…God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”  - Hebrews 13: 5

Being at church on a Sunday morning has become such an important part of my life. Corporately worshipping with my church family and sitting under a life changing message of Jesus' love for us is a highlight of my week. When I talk to others afterwards, people sometimes refer to "feeling the presence of God on them" in the service. I know that those times are incredibly special to us all. It is something we all seek, to be near Him, and to experience his tangible Love in our heart.

But we don't live in church. These feelings of Jesus presence can seem to vanish during the week when the daily tolls of life are on our mind. This is why Jesus reminds us that 'the righteous shall live by faith".  Our feelings are sometimes not a good indicator of Gods presence because if we don't feel Him, we can think Jesus is not there. Yet His word, His truth, tells us that He never leaves us even if we don't feel Him. He has blessed us even if we don't see it. His word says he loves us even if at times we feel unloved.

Today remind yourself of the many promises that God has spoken over your life, how he has never let you down and walk by faith, not by feelings.
