Then she [Naomi] said, “Sit still, my daughter, until you [Ruth] know how the matter will turn out; for the man [Boaz] will not rest until he has concluded the matter this day.
Ruth 3:18
This is a great picture of how while you were sleeping and all through today God works on your behalf. Boaz is sometimes described as a shadow, or type of Jesus in the Old testament. That means we see in His story a small description of how Jesus operates today. Here we see a picture of Ruth resting whilst Boaz, who is described as her redeemer, working on her behalf.
Take heart that in situations you are involved with that God is always working for your best. Even when you are not thinking about them or involved in them God does not stop working to bring about His blessing and goodness for you. He wants every situation to be turned around for your advantage and for you to see His love demonstrated towards you.
Ruth is told to rest - She is told not to strive, worry or take on the burden of responsibility of the situation. She is simply to trust that her redeemer will not cease until the matter is concluded.
That is what God is saying to you today. He is pleading your case. He is working matters out for you. Take your burdens to Him and let Him carry them. Believe, rest & receive all that He has for you today.
